Montagu Golf Club

We were commissioned to remodel the gardenesque Montagu Course in 2003 to make the course more challenging. We added 2 new holes, extended five others, and rebuilt all the greens, tees and bunkers.

The challenge was to work within the confines of the old course and estate buildings of the course while creating a stronger course that retained the old character. Working with American shapers the new holes allowed us enough flexibility to extend another 5 existing holes and a combination of re-bunkering the course and new tee positions brought many original hazards back into play.
