Brought up on a diet of golf from an early age, Paul began learning about Golf Course Architecture before he realised. Playing traditional ‘Links’ courses when on family holidays and classic heathland and parkland courses every daylight hour during his school summer breaks, he developed a deep passion for the game.
Paul is a dedicated professional who is passionate about the design and delivery of high-quality, golf courses. Following graduation, Paul worked in one of the world’s leading design offices, rising rapidly to leading the golf design on many international design projects. Throughout his career he has been exposed to high profile work forming a key part of design masterplanning teams to develop resorts in many different locations. Paul broke away to form his own Design Practise in 2009 and continued to work on developing new courses across the full breadth of the industry in new markets as well as focusing on opportunities in the UK with renovation work on historic courses in the UK. In 2016 he formed a partnership with Niall Glen and together with our shared golf heritage they believe they are well positioned to continue to create outstanding new courses. With over 20 years’ experience creating new golf resorts and private courses Paul has been fortunate that many of his projects have been well regarded and several have featured in top 100 rankings. Most recently Dumbarnie Links received the “Best New Golf Course 2021” in the World Golf Awards. In 2024 Paul’s approach to sustainable golf design has been recognised by the GEO Foundation where he was one of the first architects to be invited to be a ‘Champion of Sustainable Golf’.

Following graduation with an MSc in Golf Course Architecture in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2002, Niall immediately set about broadening his horizons and spent the early years of his career based in Dubai working one of the industry’s leading design offices. Following that he returned to the U.K to take up a design position with David McLay Kidd and spent the next few years leading design projects in Europe and Africa. Niall has always enjoyed working as part of an integrated design team and has extensive experience of working on large scale projects involving many other industry professionals. In recent years he has continued to develop his extensive range of technical knowledge and presentation skills to operate professionally and self-sufficiently which has enabled the company to continue to offer tailored services for a wide range of design projects. His entire professional career has been solely focused on the master planning, design, and construction of golf courses worldwide and, over the last decade more recently, Niall’s portfolio has expanded to include the design and implementation of upgrading work on many existing courses. Following on from his own successful journey through the EIGCA education programme Niall has now been the Chair of the EIGCA’s education committee since 2018 and has been instrumental in modernising the programme content and delivery whilst educating the next generation of golf course architects. After more than 20 years in the industry Niall remains focused and deeply passionate about the golf design industry and continues to seek out projects that capture his imagination and match his ambition for design excellence.

Following graduation, Andy initially worked in the civil/structural engineering industry developing his technical and team working skills to deliver high-quality drawings and calculations. In 2022 he began to pursue his goal of becoming a golf course architect and, following advice, gained a position with a prominent U.K based Golf Course Construction company. Andy joined the KimberGlen Design team in 2023 taking up the position of Design Associate. Since then Andy has been splitting his time between overseeing construction projects and assisting with design work in the office.
